Slice of Life - This weekend we all went to Melbourne to see the musical Hairspray. It was fantastic - well worth the trip. While in Melbourne we picked up Belinda's new car, a sky blue Hyundai Getz. And as she got (and accepted) an offer into Adelaide University, it will be a great car for her to drive around in Adelaide (after she gets her license in April!).

We went to Port Fairy today and I entered an Art competion at Blarney Books and Art. You choose a book out of a barrow and then make something (can be any art media) either with the title, theme or using the book. The pieces (if selected) then become part of the Biblio-Art Exhibition at the store. The book I chose was 'The Power of Positive Thinking'. It was written in 1952 by a Pastor, and is full of affermations, and lots of what I would think is very New Age stuff!

I partly chose this book as I am again following Ali Edwards and participating in BPC One Little Word class this year. Last year my word was Create, and this year I have chosen Trust (to trust in the process, to trust that things are as they should be, and to trust more and worry less!). I'm hoping to make a piece than will visually represent my word.
