Slice of Life Tuesday. This photo is from a bookshop in Port Fairy, Blarney Books. Each year they have an exhibition of Book inspired Art. Each artist purchases a book from a barrel, and then enters a piece of art either inspired by the book, or made from the book. I loved the exhibition - and enjoyed looking at and reading the reasons behind each piece. More so as I am decorating a shop window for the Upwelling festival in October - I have been assigned the second hand bookshop, and am planning to use second hand books in my display.

Team Up Thursday - the theme was OLD. Rose has sent an awsome pic of a row of old computer moniters & tv - just perfect! I love how she was brave enough to stand in the middle of the street to take the pic! Mine is of an old car on the side of the road on the way to Colac (another pic from the archives - I don't seem to get the camera out anymore!) I still love though how being part of Team Up Thursdays gets me at least thinking about photos.

Team Up Thursday Diptych (the real one!). Rose sent the photo on the right - and it is big, it is "'The Friendship Bell', a gift from th people of Korea to the people of the USA on the occasion of the Bicentennial Jubilee, to further friendship and trust between the two nations.". As it is winter here I love the beautiful blue sky against the colours of the bell. My photo on the left is of a study room at The University of Adelaide, it is a big room, as well the thought of my youngest going off to University 7 hours away is also BIG.

Team Up Thursday. I havnt heard from Rose this week - she is either super busy or has internet trouble (I know the feeling!), so I have put together two photos for my diptych. The theme is BIG. I have chosen another couple of photos from Adelaide, as this room at The University of Adelaide was big, and my youngest going away to Uni is also going to be BIG (for her and me!).

Slice of Life (last) Tuesday. We went to visit Cindy in Adelaide and while there had a look at a couple of the Uni's just to see what they were like, for Belinda next year. On the left is The University of Adelaide a beautiful old (with new buildings as well) old Uni. On the right is the city campus of the UniSA, which was new and very crowded & cramped. If belinda goes to UniSA her course is located at a different campus, which we will look at another weekend.

Team Up Thursday's Diptych - this weeks theme was mornings. Rose's
morning looks perfect, I love the china plate, the glimpse of the book and the rustic table - all so inviting! Mine is on the bottom, each time Cindy is home from Uni she makes a fabulouse pancake breakfast, perfect for a Sunday morning late breakky! For more diptychs go to Megan's blog!

Slice of Life Tuesday. This week to try and cut back on the phone bill we again tried msn chat. This time we got the video calls working but the pics kept freezing on our end and always with funny faces! (this photo is one of the normal ones!) Sometimes we couldn't type for laughing. I think it is time to look at skype?

The next Team Up Thursday theme is UP. Just back from her holiday Rose sent this fabulous photo looking up at Mt Rushmore - I just love it. Mine is looking up from the inside of Melbourne Central Shopping Centre.

Slice of Life Tuesday. The theme was 'Food'. I have two photos - one new & one old. The top photo is a carrot cake I made this week - this recipe uses pistachios instead of walnuts. The bottom photo is from when I was in Qld - at a cafe, this was the yummiest cake ever - sponge roll with lemon curd & marscapone cream. With a cup of English Breakfast tea, just perfect!
