Project Life April - Part 1

Project Life - each year I think "next year I won't have as much to document, the girls getting older, not as home much etc, etc", but - each year I use more pages! This year I have added an extra page or two nearly every month! April still consists of the basics, but has an extra couple of pages with pics etc that Laura sent while overseas for a couple of weeks.  The pages are a little less embellished than usual, but I didn't want to get behind, so have taken the easy way out!

Project Life March 2012

Here are my pages for March. Lots more of our everyday life, - where we work/study, what we ate, what we saw at the cinema, where we went, what we bought & how we celebrated a birthday! All ordinary details, but I still love putting this project together.

lots of great layouts to be inspired by!

I'm also taking Heidi Swapps 'Art of Observation' class at Big Picture Classes. It is even better than I thought - love the idea of file folders mixed in with my scrapbook layouts. Hope to finish my first folder page tonight, and am super excited to then get some info our next project - which I plan to do as an ongoing file - love this concept!

Project Life February - Part 1

Here is the first half of Feb - we had a pretty big month, Laura & I went to melb to see "A Chorus Line" (Laura's present to me for Christmas), and we loved it! I had a job interview in Ballarat at a Pharmacy as Dispensary Tech & Webster packer, I got the job and start on the 5th March.  Cindy starts work at Mt Clear IGA on the 27th Feb, Belinda has transferred to Ballarat Uni to continue her studies and starts on 27th Feb too.  We found a house in Mt Clear, moving on 24th feb (I finish work here on 23rd feb - and I'm not good at packing, can you pack a whole house in one night after work?, cos that's how its looking!).

The other "excitement" (if thats the right word), is that Portland residents have been confined indoors due to a chemical spill at the Port of Portland. We are waiting on news today to see how long it is for! This photo is a screen capture on my phone from the warnambool standard site.

Project Life January (Part 2)

Here is my last spread for January (a bit keen to finish - lets hope nothing happens in the next 2 days, lol!). I ended up with more photos that expected (can't resist those sunrises on my morning walk!), so have removed the trimmed down page an replaced it with a full page, so have ended up with 3 double page spreads for January.  Lots of summer everyday life here, bbq's, walks, books, movies, australia day brekky, even giving the goat a haircut!

Project Life January (Part 1)

I'm loving using the Project Life Cobalt Core kit - the colours are great, with a mix of muted and vibrant colours, great for a more JOYful approch to my scrapbooking!

I am using the the Becky Higgins style A as one page, and a We R Memory keepers page which takes a mix of Vertical and horizontal photos.  I also have extra pockets which I have trimmed down as an extra page to use when I have more photos I want to include ( I have used this page this month.) I am still waiting on the paper to cut to put into the long 12"x2" slot on the second page of the first spread. So I will have 3 spreads for January, here are the first two!

Project Life 2012

This year I am using the actual Project life core kit and divided pages (I normally make up my own kit), and the core kit has FINALLY arrived. Here is my cover page using the Cobalt Kit.
I am going the simple way, basically using the items provided and slipping them & the photos into the pockets. I have set up a small desk in the lounge with everything in reach to make the process easy. The album fits at the front of the desk, behind the album is the white core kit, a box which hold some stamps and has a place to put tickets, receipts etc that I save to put into the album, the painted teddy box holds my corner rounder, tiny attacher, double sided tape, scissors, pens and post it notes.  Under the desk in the blue box I have some punches and a small paper trimmer, a journal, and a small box for paper scraps to go into.

Traditional Project Life has a double spread for each week, where I am doing 2 double spreads for each month, with occasional added cut down pages for the months where there are extra photos (birthdays, etc).
The plan is each weekend I save photos from my phone to the computer, and plan where they will go in the album, then finalising placement of photos, papers etc at the end of each month.
